Business Transformation & Change Management
Business Transformation and Change Management are the disciplines that specializes in the strategic implications of information technology impacts on mergers & acquisitions, corporate realignments & consolidations,
and enterprise transformation initiatives.
It involves exploiting strategy, technology, architecture, governance, delivery, and integration in such a way that enables a company to achieve its stated intent brought about by either external or internal forces of change. It includes a holistic approach that focuses on the convergence of people, process, and technology.
Due Diligence
Begins with an inventory of applications, technologies, environments, personnel, contracts, and budgets of two or more entities to determine what synergies, if any, exist and might be achievable through combination of IT functions. Specific recommendations are produced that allow the parties to determine if there is any feasibility of pursuing the effort further through integration planning. Permutations of due diligence are available based on client preference.
Integration Planning
The following work products will be produced in this phase of the lifecycle:
- Integration Roadmaps (Applications, Technologies, Environments)
- Operating Model (Resourcing, Locations, Capital & Expense Budgets)
- Supply Chain prioritization of contract notifications/renegotiations
- Synergy program opportunities (mix, targets, forecasts)
- Cost to achieve budgeting, prioritization, sequencing
- Day 0, Day 1, and Day 100 business imperatives
- Synergy plans by year by category for entire program
The goal is to lay out a body of IT work that will enable the integration of the business on a graduated basis that will enable it to meet both the short term and long term financial goals of the change management initiative.
